About Mark
Sen. Mark Mullet is a small business owner, former city councilman and father of four daughters.
Mark earned a Master’s Degree in Public Affairs from the Evans School at the University of Washington in 2008. He was elected to the Issaquah City Council in 2009 and he also represents Issaquah as a Board Member of Eastside Fire and Rescue, which provides fire service from Issaquah to North Bend.
Mark has been a member of the Board of Directors for the Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank since 2008. He owns two small businesses in Issaquah: Zeek’s Pizza and Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream. Prior to this, Mark was a Managing Director at Bank of America, serving as the Global Head of Foreign Currency Options Trading. This made him responsible for a business spread across three different continents. After a dozen years in the international finance business he returned home in 2006.
Mark was born and raised in Tukwila, graduating from Foster High School in 1990. He was the Washington High School State Tennis Champion in 1989 and 1990 and he played varsity tennis for the University of Redlands in California. After two years at Redlands, Mark transferred to Indiana University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Finance.
Mark and his wife Sabath have been married for 15 years and have four daughters. Mark enjoys spending time outdoors. He climbed Mt. Rainer in 2008, did the Seattle-to-Portland bike race in 2009, and enjoys paragliding off Tiger Mountain in Issaquah.
