Personal: Claudia was raised in the Puget Sound area and lives with her family in Kent. She is married to Larry Cordier and has a son (Joseph), and two daughters (Jessie and Zintkala). She has also been foster mother to ten foster children.

Education: Studied at the University of Idaho and Oglala Lakota College

Occupation: Charity Fund and Federal Relations Liaison for the Muckleshoot Tribe; small business owner

Community Involvement: Kent School District’s Indian Education Parent Committee; Kent Chamber of Commerce; Antioch University Board of Visitors; Board of Trustees of The Evergreen State College; Governor's Committee on Disabilities & Employment; Minority Executive Directors Coalition of King County; co-founder of the Native Action Network.
